Traceable formula

  • Referral fee = selected category percentage tiers applied to item price, subject to the modeled minimum referral fee and closing fee where applicable.
  • FBA fulfillment fee = selected rate card and size/weight tier fee; products priced under 10 USD use the low-price FBA fee, products priced above 50 USD use the high-price FBA fee, and variable-weight tiers add the official per-interval weight charge.
  • Overmax handling fee = optional selected Extra-Large Overmax fee, added per unit when the seller indicates the product exceeds the official longest-side or length-plus-girth threshold.
  • Low-inventory-level fee = optional selected historical-days-of-supply band mapped to the selected FBA size tier; grocery category is treated as exempt.
  • SIPP / packaging adjustment = optional SIPP-certified standard-size discount or non-SIPP bulky packaging fee, based on the selected size tier and dimensional weight.
  • Returns processing fee = optional selected return scenario mapped to the selected FBA size tier; non-apparel applies to returned units above threshold, while apparel and shoes apply to each returned unit.
  • Inbound placement service fee = optional selected shipment split scenario mapped to the selected FBA size and weight tier; Amazon-optimized shipment splits are modeled as no fee and Extra-Large products are treated as not eligible.
  • Monthly inventory storage fee = optional period rate x seller-entered cubic feet per unit; storage utilization surcharge = seller-entered surcharge per cubic foot x seller-entered cubic feet per unit.
  • Aged inventory surcharge = optional inventory age band rate x seller-entered cubic feet per unit, with per-unit minimums for the 366+ day bands where applicable.
  • Fuel and logistics surcharge = selected FBA fulfillment fee x 3.5%.
  • Net profit = revenue - product cost - shipping cost - ads - referral fee - FBA fulfillment fee, optional FBA adjustments, and surcharge.

FAQ

Does this Amazon FBA calculator include storage fees?

Yes, as optional planning inputs. Enter the product's cubic feet per unit, then choose a monthly storage period, enter a storage utilization surcharge per cubic foot if it applies to your account, or choose an aged-inventory age band. Removals, taxes, and seller-entered advertising should be modeled separately.

Why do items under 10 USD show a different FBA fulfillment fee?

Amazon publishes separate FBA fulfillment fee bands for products priced below 10 USD, 10-50 USD, and above 50 USD. The calculator switches bands from the entered selling price.
